BIO
My family consists of three children—Jordan (33), with his wife Rachel and my three grandchildren, in Montello, Quinn (25) who lives/works in Manitowoc, and Halle 21 who lives/works in Manitowoc, Zorro (a poodle chihuahua), Tigger (a cat similar to Garfield) and Potato (rabbit) plus many wild animals; I live on the Fox River!
My family attended St. John’s Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Berlin so I went to school there for 1st-8th grade. I never changed my mind, playing school and pretending to teach Sunday school as well. Eventually, as a sophomore, I did teach Sunday school at St John! I still belong to St. John and sing in the choir.
I took most of my Nursing degree classes at Fox Valley Tech, but I never lost sight of becoming a teacher. Transferring to Marian University was the next step. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Ed. minoring in Language Arts. Six years later, by the Grace of God, I earned a Master’s in Education and taught adult Writing and Communication Skills alongside the Profs I had at Fox Valley Tech! However, I longed to teach in a school like I grew up in at St. John. My first opportunity was to teach 5th grade at a Catholic school. That was vastly different for me.
In 2010, I helped to begin a multi-level classroom charter school with K-6, seven students the first year, and up to 16 in one room with several Autistic children as well. After that experience, 2015, I believed I could do anything (with God of course) by starting a non-profit multi-age alternative parochial school and working at Walmart nights and weekends. After one year, I decided to work full time at Walmart. Again, by the grace of God, I filled the position at Christ Lutheran School! I absolutely love being at Christ. I pray that our school continues to be blessed by God as the years go by.
In His service,

Why I like Christ Lutheran?
As in my bio, I have always been and “known” I was supposed to become a teacher. Being the baby in a family of eight (Mom, Dad, six kids), there was no way I could go to college. Therefore, I went to college later in life, being the only 26 yr. old freshman on campus😊. Christ Lutheran School fits me well because I talk about Jesus with the students daily and I get to help mold them into young Christian citizens. The environment at CELS allows for a much deeper understanding of one another; our time spent together is special with Christ’s love interspersed throughout our days. I would like to find a way to keep it open forever, or until God calls us all home.
